Greetings to all! My name is Ivory Robinson and I am an elementary school teacher. I currently work with a 2nd grade class at Livingston Junior High School in Livingston, AL. This Electronic Portfolio focuses on technology use in the classroom as it pertains to the subjects of Science and Math. I believe that technology in today's educational landscape can be a positive asset when used properly and if it is relevant to the lesson. This wiki portfolio displays how technology can be successfully incorporated into a science and math lesson. This wiki also contains samples of student work from my 2nd grade class when they learned about gas, liquids, and solids in Science and double digit addition in Math. A student sample using bubblus.com is included in the Science section. For the math section, a link to delicious.com is listed with several helpful websites dealing with double digit addition. Technology in the classroom not only provides a new outlet to teach from, it also reintroduces a familiar tool to the students as useful in their educational endeavors. I believe this sample is something your staff can use or refer to when incorporating technology into their classrooms. I believe we should embrace technology in our education system, not look down upon it.
